Really simple, plus email addresses allow you to have multiple email addresses all linked to your one mail box!
Supported by the large email providers (Microsoft Office 365, Outlook.com, Gmail and more) this is not something many people know about, but it’s super powerful.
For example, if your email address is:
[email protected]
you can use
john+something@mycompany.co.uk
and the email will still come to you!
You can use these new email variations to sign up for different services, newsletters or websites and use the power of your email client to do the heavy lifting for you by using rules to filter the emails into folders or highlighting them to you.
And, even more interestingly, if you sign up at one company and start getting emails to that address from another company… you know who leaked your email address!
