JC Lindsay & Co are a painting and decorating company based in Scotland, offering complete residential and commercial property renovation services.
They work with multiple housing associations across Scotland, which brings a specific administrative challenge that off-the-shelf software simply doesn’t handle.
As one of IceBubble’s longest-standing clients, JC Lindsay needed a bespoke CRM solution built around how their business actually works, not a generic tool that almost fits.
The company work with multiple housing associations and required an online solution to manage their workload and provide simple management of projects.
Challenge
Housing associations require contractors to use Schedule of Rates (SOR) codes on all quotes and invoices. These codes are specific to each housing association, vary between contracts, and need to be applied consistently across every job. Managing this manually or with generic software is slow, error-prone, and creates real problems at invoicing stage.
JC Lindsay also needed to manage their private residential and commercial work alongside their HA contracts, with a single system that could handle both without confusion.
Solution
IceBubble built a bespoke CRM for JC Lindsay with all relevant SOR codes built in for each housing association they worked with. Quotes and invoices could be raised quickly and accurately, with the right codes applied automatically based on the client and contract.
The system was extended to cover private work as well, giving JC Lindsay a single platform to manage their entire operation, from initial enquiry through to completed job and invoice, regardless of whether the client was a housing association or a private customer.
Result
The bespoke CRM allows the JC Lindsay team to manage large scale projects efficiently, with all project information, pricing and invoicing instantly accessible online.
The SOR code management that previously required manual cross-referencing is now handled automatically, reducing errors and saving significant admin time on every job.
