Project Overview
Oxspring Network Solutions are a UK-based Cisco Premier Partner who approached IceBubble needing a bespoke mobile app development solution.
Their client’s existing process relied on hardware that was no longer being produced, and they needed a software solution fast.
The IceBubble team were approached to help develop a mobile app to assist a customer of Oxspring.
Challenge
Oxspring approached IceBubble needing a business solution for their client as their current solutions used a hardware that was no longer being produced.
Oxspring found a new hardware product (Zebra TC51 Android barcode scanner) that fulfilled this need; however, they needed a new software solution that could be both easy to use and also interact with their current solution.
Solution
IceBubble took a detailed specification from Oxspring and built a bespoke Android application using Xamarin Forms, designed to work seamlessly with the new Zebra TC51 barcode scanner hardware.
The app was built to scan multiple barcodes, count and group the data with each scan, and deliver a CSV file in the required format when complete – allowing the data to flow straight into the client’s existing platform without any manual intervention.
The mobile app development project was scoped, built and delivered quickly, giving Oxspring the breathing room to implement a longer-term warehouse management solution while keeping their client’s operations running smoothly throughout.
Result
The bespoke mobile app delivered by IceBubble allowed Oxspring to keep their client operational while a longer-term solution was put in place, demonstrating exactly the kind of practical, fast-turnaround development IceBubble specialises in.
Business for the customer of Oxspring was able to continue as normal while a new warehouse management solution was implemented.
